Massachusetts Employers Offering Paid Sick Leave Get Temporary Reprieve

Employers that already offered paid sick time to employees will be exempted from some provisions of the new voter-approved sick time law that takes effect July 1, 2015. The sick time law requires employers with 11 employees or more to accrue 40 hours of sick time a year, which can be used for themselves or illness of immediate family members.
