Study of Ponemon Institute, reveals that data breaches within the healthcare industry continue to grow and that they are more expensive to remedy than in any other industry. Many breaches arise from employee negligence and lost or stolen electronic storage devices; however, an emerging trend is that criminals are increasingly targeting and exploiting healthcare data.
